Odds on major NASCAR / CART / IRL races available
- Results will be graded at the end of the race as posted on nascar.com. If there was an error by nascar.com in the posting of the results, then the results will be regarded. If changes are subsequently made due to appeals or decisions of NASCAR unrelated to the original finishing order (ie. penalties for rules infractions, dangerous driving, etc.) the original results will still be deemed as the official results for grading purposes. Appeals and administrative penalties are not applicable for betting purposes.
NASCAR Match-ups
- When wagering on a match-up, both drivers involved must start the race (cross the start/finish line) otherwise the wager is "No Action" or "Push/Cancel" and money is refunded. In a case where the starting driver is replaced during the race with another driver from the same team, the position the new driver finishes in will be awarded to the original driver. This holds for wagering on win odds and/or match-ups.
- Races must take place on the site and dates scheduled. (unless otherwise specified)
- Las Vegas Rules apply for any rules not mentioned here.
Moneyline with Tie
- This is the most common odds used by PokerHead where the bettor (punter) has three choices: team A, team B, or a tie. This type of wagering makes sense, since in regular season it is possible for a match to end in a tie. If you wager on a team in this scenario and the outcome of the match at the end of 90 minutes is a tie, the wager is a loss. If you wager on the tie, and one of the teams wins at the end of 90 minutes, the wager is a loss.
To Advance Wagering
- For competitions such as the World Cup or FA Cup a two option only line may be quoted. This is a wager on a team to advance, whether they win in 90 minutes, in an extra time period, or in a penalty shootout. There is no possibility of a tie.
SOCCER RULES
- All odds are subject to fluctuation and amendment and are based on the result at full-time. The terms full-time, 90 minutes play, and normal time are all used to denote the period of play that includes injury time but not extra time, penalty shoot-outs, etc.
- Bets will be accepted up to the advertised kick-off time. If a bet is inadvertently accepted which includes a match after its kick-off time, the bet will be considered past-post and voided accordingly. Game date and times posted are for guidance purposes only and are not guaranteed to be 100% accurate.
- Total Goals Betting - Wagering on game totals (over/under) only include goals scored in regulation time. (First 90 minutes)
- Outright Betting - Where there are odds quotes for Outright as well as 90 minutes play (ie. Cup Finals, etc.) unless "to win outright" or qualifying price has been laid, all bets are settled on 90 minutes of play.
- Divisional Betting - In divisional betting, the finishing position of teams at the end of the scheduled programmed of matches will determine placing with no allowance for play-offs or subsequent enquiries by the respective leagues.
- Postponed Games - If a game is postponed and rescheduled to occur within 48 hours of the original start time, all bets stand. If rescheduled for more than 48 hours later, all single bets are void and wagers refunded while affected multiple bets will be recalculated excluding that leg.
- Games must take place on the site and dates scheduled. (unless otherwise specified)
- Abandoned Games - Should a match be abandoned before 90 minutes of play then all bets will be declared void and wagers refunded WITH THE EXCEPTION OF:
- bets involving first goal scorer and next goal scorer, provided the first/next goal has been scored before the match is abandoned,
- bets involving time of first goal, where the time of the first goal has been determined before the match is abandoned.
- bets involving result at half time (not including half time/full time betting), where the half time result is known.
Wagering on match-ups between golfers
- Match-ups are for the entire tournament.
- The winner of the match-ups will be decided by which golfer ends up with the lowest score having played equal rounds. Both golfers must tee off in the tournament or the wager will be "No Action" or "Push/Cancel" and all money will be refunded. If one of the golfers misses the cut, withdraws, or is disqualified during the tournament, the opposing golfer wins the match-up.
- If a tournament does not go the scheduled number of holes (usually 72), and PGA officials agree to shorten it, wagers are still valid.
Fixed Odds
- Like other similar types of contests, you may wager on a player to win a tournament at fixed odds.
- Tournament wagers are considered "All-In." Refunds are not given if a player withdraws.
- If a tournament does not go the scheduled number of holes (usually 72), and PGA officials agree to shorten it, wagers are still valid.
World Sporting Events / Olympics

- Payouts are based on the "podium positions."
- Games or matches must take place at the site and on the dates scheduled. (unless otherwise specified)
IN PROGRESS WAGERING
- In Progress wagering is a straight bet that you can place while the event is in progress. Odds are constantly adjusted by the line manager and are posted as the game starts. Lines are opened and taken down at line manager’s discretion.
- For NFL, NCAAF, NBA and NCAAB the line would be opened at the start of the game and will be closed at the start of the 4th Quarter.

Intro:
A game has four (4) straight wagering situations. You can wager on the 'side' of the game or the 'total' of the game. When wagering on a 'side', you can choose to wager on (a) the favorite team (the team most likely to win the game, or has the odds in its favor) or you can choose (b) the underdog (the team most likely to lose the game, or has the odds against it). A 'total' (or over/under) is the combined amount of points both teams will score in a game. When wagering on a 'total' (or over/under), you can choose to wager on (c) 'over' or (d) 'under' the total points scored .
The different types of lines:
The Point Spread: |
Point spreads are used in football and basketball. The point spread (or 'line') will try to make the game an even game by adding points to the score of the underdog or subtracting points from the favorite. |
The Total ('over/under'): |
Totals are used in football, basketball, baseball, hockey, etc. The Total is the combined points both teams will score in a game. |
'Juice' or 'VIG' (Vigorish):
When wagering on a straight wager (point spread or total), you lay a certain amount of money to win a smaller amount of money. The difference between what is wagered and what is won is called the 'Juice' or 'VIG'. In football and basketball the 'Juice' (or 'VIG') is usually 10%. In other words, for every $110 wagered you will win $100. If you lose the wager, you lose $110. If you win the wager, you get the $110 'Juice' refunded to you, plus the $100 in winnings ($110 + $100 = $210 total paid back to your account).
Pick'em
When there is no favorite team (both teams are considered to have an equal chance of winning the contest) the 'point spread' is a 'PK' ('Pick' or 'pick'em') in which case there is no point spread. In a 'PK' you may wager on either team to win. If the team wagered upon wins, your wager is a winner.
The Money Line
The 'Money Line' can be used with all traditional sports and just about anything else you can wager on (football, basketball, baseball, hockey, boxing, tennis, golf, NASCAR, soccer, etc.). In a 'Money Line' there is no point spread. The money line determines the amount of money laid and the amount of money won when wagering on either the favorite or the underdog. The highest negative money line determines the favorite team, and the lowest negative money line and all positive money lines determine the underdog. The most common case is the favorite with a negative line and the underdog with a positive one.
Buying Points
You can buy points to your advantage on the sports of football and basketball. Points can be bought on the side or on the total. Each half point costs you an additional 10 cents to the dollar. You can buy a total of 2 full points on any side or total.
Buying Points ON or OFF of the point spread of three ( 3) NFL
When purchasing a ½ point "on" or "off" of the point spread of three (+/- 3) in NFL, you will need to lay/risk an additional 20 cents to the dollar and will have to risk $130.00 USD to win $100.00.
Buying Points ON or OFF of the point spread of three ( 3) NCAA College Football
When purchasing a ½ point “on” or “off” of the point spread of three (+/-3) in NCAA College Football, you will need to lay/risk an additional 15 cents to the dollar and will have to risk $125.00 USD to win $100.00.
A parlay is a single bet that links together anywhere from 2 to 6 individual plays. The parlay can be comprised of a series of bets on a team, over/under bets, or any mixture of the two. For the parlay to be a winning wager, every one of its individual plays must win. If any of the individual plays is not a winner, then the entire parlay wager is a loss.
If, one of the individual plays is a "push," then the parlay reverts to the next amount of teams. For example, a three play parlay would become a two play parlay; a two play parlay would become a straight bet, with corresponding reductions of the payoff.
All four major sports can be parlayed (football, basketball, baseball, and hockey). Money lines that differ from -110 affect the payout of the parlay. The higher the negative money line, the lower the payout of the parlay. The higher the positive money line, the higher the payout.
MAX PARLAY PAYOUT IS $100,000.

If-bets are used by many players as a method of money management. Like a parlay, an if-bet links together 2 or more individual plays. Unlike a parlay, an if-bet is not an all-or-nothing wager: the individual plays remain individual wagers.
Let's look at an if-bet that contains just two plays. You bet on an initial team or total, if that wager wins then the second wager that you chose will automatically be placed. You should therefore always list the bet you are most confident about first. If your initial bet loses, then the second wager is not placed. The status of the linked bets has nothing to do with the games’ starting times or what order they are played in, it is strictly a logical relation. Even if the first game in your if-bet is played hours after the second one, the status of the second bet must wait for the first game’s results. The amount of the total wager is collected at the time you place the entire bet sequence. You cannot bet a higher amount on the second wager. Since the second wager is placed only if you win, the maximum amount that you can lose is the amount of the first wager.
Players have an option of choosing the conditions of an if-bet: "single action" (If-Win-Only) or "double action" (If-Win-Push/Cancel). Single action specifies that the remaining bets in the sequence will only be placed if the preceding bet wins. If the preceding bet is a "push" or is cancelled for any other reason, then the remaining bets will not be placed. Double action specifies that the remaining bets in the sequence will be placed if the preceding bet wins, results in a "push" or is cancelled for any other reason. In other words, "double action" means that the remaining bets in the sequence will not be placed only if the preceding bet loses.
Players also have an option of choosing the conditions of an if-bet “single action” (If-Lose-Only) or “double action” (If-Lose-Push/Cancel). Single Action you can only have Team A if Lose Team B. when the wager is placed the bet amount on both teams will be reserved. If you have Team A laying $110 to win $100 If Lose Team B $110 to win $100, then $220.00 will be reserved from your account until the wager is graded. The first team must lose in order to have a wager on the second team. The bet does not roll over if the first team either wins or pushes. Double action (If-Lose-Push/Cancel) specifies that the remaining bets in the sequence will be placed if the preceding bet loses, results in a "push" or is cancelled for any other reason. In other words, "double action" means that the remaining bets in the sequence will not be placed only if the preceding bet wins.
Example: |
Dallas Cowboys -5 $110 to win $100 |
IF (if win, tie, or cancel) |
Carolina Panthers +4 $110 to win $100 |
Reverse bets are simply "if bets" that work in both directions. All reverse bets are double action: the remaining bets in the sequence will be placed if the preceding bet is a win, a "push," or is cancelled for any reason. An "if bet" (double action) follows the sequence "if Team 1 wins, ties or cancels then Team 2." Placing a reverse bet will include that sequence and its opposite: "if Team 1 wins ties or cancels then Team 2" AND "if Team 2 wins, ties or cancels then Team 1." As you can see, reverse bets contain two "if bet" sequences and you must lay down an equal amount for each one: an if-bet for $110 is $220 as a reverse bet.
Part A |
Cowboys -5 $110 to win $100 |
IF ( win, tie or cancel) |
Dolphins -14 $110 to win $100 |
|
|
Part B |
Dolphins -14 $110 to win $100 |

Cowboys -5 $110 to win $100 |

A future bet is a straight bet on an event or outcome that is relatively far off in the future. For example, you can bet that the Minnesota Vikings will win the Super Bowl long before the NFL season even starts, or that Jeff Gordon will win the Winston Cup before the first race in the series has even been run.
Futures bets are mostly money line bets and the odds are continually updated during the period leading up to the time when the bets are taken off the board. You receive the odds that are in effect at the time you place your bet. Because circumstances can change so much from the date the bet is offered to the date of the actual event.
A proposition bet is a very specific bet offered by the house. The individual bets have titles that explain on what event, action or player the wager is placed.

A Round Robin by definition is the combination of all possible two-team parlays with the chosen teams. You can choose from 3 to 6 teams in a Round Robin, from which a combination of two team parlays are made. The maximum risk in a Round Robin is calculated by multiplying the maximum number of parlays by the amount you want for each two-team parlay.
Note: Each of the two-team parlays is graded individually.
